It has been uncovered that at least one of the major communications corporations is spying on its customers and they are doing it without the consent of the government or the courts.
However, they are selling that information to the government at a high cost to taxpayers and even at a cost to their customers. So in fact, At&T customers are paying twice for the service they are getting or using from AT&T.
This sort of thing means that AT&T is collecting data on you and what you talk or text about on your cell phone via their network. It obviously means folks who use their network via roaming, are also caught in the AT&T snare.
Sure, AT&T is probably not the only network provider that is doing such a thing. Verizon early on (going back a few years) also said they would cooperate with government agencies to give them the information they sought. However, Verizon did back off slightly after huge customer out cry.
Thing is, be aware that your carrier is tracking you and could share that information without your knowledge and that could put you in a compromising situation even if you actually did not do a single thing wrong.
